The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, 2024. In Zone C of Hall 6.1 of CIIE Jewelry Hall, both old and new friends were amazed by the dazzling array of exquisite jewelry products. The Jewelry Hall was crowded with people almost every day. Beaming with smiles, many exhibitors already inquired about signing contracts for the 8th CIIE.

During this year’s CIIE, Chen Jie, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, Sun Shuo, Deputy Mayor of Beijing, Dr. Gaetano Cavalieri, President of CIBJO, Liu Hualong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Poly Group Corporation, and other important leaders, international guests, as well as professional purchasing groups from all over the world visited the Jewelry Hall for exchange.

This year, Zmpery Gemology Lab, as the third-party testing service provider of Jewelry Hall of the 7th CIIE, provided free testing and consulting services for jewelry exhibits in Zone C of Hall 6.1, helping exhibitors earn trust of purchasers and consumers.

On the afternoon of November 7, Dr. Dietmar Schwarz, a German gemmologist and chief scientist of Zmpery Gemology Lab, gave a public class titled Colorful Gems - Origin and Destination at the Jewelry Hall of the 7th CIIE, attracting a large audience.

On November 8, the China Gems & Jade Exchange and E&P International signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the Jewelry Hall. The two sides will collaborate in the field of carbon neutrality of gems & jade, jointly promote the green development of the gems & jade industry, explore the application scenarios of blockchain technology to enhance the green development of the gems & jade industry, and further advance the deep coordination, integration, and innovation of carbon management in the industrial chain of gems & jade, thus realizing the value co-creation of a green ecosphere for international trade in gems & jade.

Since 2018, the CIIE has been held annually without interruption. Relying on the advantages of China’s large market, it has played a key role as a platform for international procurement, investment promotion, people-to-people exchanges, and open cooperation, making positive contributions to accelerating the construction of a new development pattern and promoting the development of the world economy.

The Jewelry Hall of the CIIE has become an important step for international jewelry exhibitors to explore and cultivate the Chinese market, receiving positive feedback from exhibitors.
